The Knights
In the fifth trimester, I worked on a car animation with stylised graphics. I personally am not a big car guy myself, but my group members had a big vision, so I decided to take a back seat with this one. I am, however, very interested in stylised graphics, and I was put in charge of all the shaders and texturing for the animation. That, along with a couple cars and most of the background work.
A few highlights
I ended up doing quite a lot for this project as one group member dropped out and another was just having a bad year. Not only did I model and texture/shade most of the models, but I also handled the postprocessing magic that would give the cars outlines. I also created the toon smoke simulation with geometry nodes. I didn’t do a lot of the animation as there was a group member of mine that was really great at that kind of thing. Still, I would stay productive near the end by adjusting rigs, building scenes, or just being the man to call when something goes wrong.
